Walking on the Pieterpad

Comments from our guests in bed and breakfast Aad Poshoes to Beesel. In connection with the construction of the A74 is the route of the Pieterpad changed between the Lower Mill in Venlo (see point 2 on map 30) and boundary 441 (Map 31). The old route of the Pieterpad is no longer accessible. Below is a custom itinerary for this section. The new route is also marked.

Keep right at marker 439. Always follow the path until you pass over 1.5 km at boundary 444A and an enclosed building have come. For this building turn left and shortly afterwards a division keep right. At the end of a former landfill and turn left then immediately right again. At the edge of the building, that descends steeply downwards. Then turn right onto a path between two fences take. This comes from a metal barrier for a road. This road about 130 m to the left, crossing a short walk back, and then left onto a footpath along the road Ulingsheide. Just before a sharp bend the path along the other side of the road continues to follow. There are two more angled bends before the path finally ends. Here the asphalt road and cross diagonally left a smaller paved road right into the direction of an iron gate. For the gate turn left, along a wall (right). There is a sharp right and then left at the end along a field. At a fork keep left. Over 200 m further a path diagonally right to ignore, but shortly thereafter a smaller path right behind a metal barrier strike. After passing through a swing gate and continue ahead to go for a deep pond. Turn left onto a declining path along the water to follow. Right at the end, you reach the gate with a bang on a paved road that takes you to links below. At the right end, and shortly thereafter left at junction, Lower Molenweg. At the end right bend and junction keep left, still lower Molenweg.
